Can Art 2024: Ibiza Global Radio brings the beat to contemporary art fair

After a successful collaboration last year, Ibiza Global Radio is excited to announce that the team will once again bring its distinctive sound to contemporary art fair Can Art.

Taking over the Recinto Ferial de Ibiza exhibition centre on the outskirts of Ibiza Town, from Wednesday, June 26th until Sunday, June 30th, the fair is at the centre of the burgeoning Ibiza art week, with international and local galleries bringing new life to the island's bohemian and artistic legacy.

With over 30 galleries from countries across Europe, Asia, Australasia and the USA showcasing a variety of artists with a focus on contemporary painting, a veritable feast of colours and creative expression awaits visitors.

New participants for this year include Galleria Continua, Xippas, Madragoa and Moisés Pérez de Albéniz, with an increased focus being placed on galleries based in the Balearic islands such as L21, Lundgren, La Bibi, Gathering, Fran Reus Gallery and Galeria Fermay.

An expanded OFF Program and special projects celebrating the cultural scene on Ibiza while showcasing new spaces across the island rounds off the varied programme.

Thrilled to be part of this whirlwind of culture, Ibiza Global Radio will be supplying the soundtrack to Can Ibiza 2024 every single day of the art fair. As the official station of CAN 2024, we will be broadcasting a live programme on Wednesday, June 26th, from the fair to coincide with the VIP opening - while programming further DJ sets throughout this year’s edition of the art fair.

On opening night, none other than island favourite and longtime Pacha resident Willie Graff will be playing a vinyl-only set live on air from 18:00 to 20:00 CET. He will be followed by Maxo Cream, who is taking over the decks from 20:00 until 00:00 CET.

On Thursday, June 27th, longtime Ibiza Global Radio resident Gaty Lopez will be bringing the beats to the exhibition centre from 18:00 to 22:00 CET, with fellow radio star Maricha taking the same slot one day later on Friday, June 28th.

Heading into the weekend, Joes Vedra is on deck duty from 18:00 to 22:00 on Saturday, June 29th. And on Sunday, June 30th, the five-day programme eventually finishes with two sets by Cris 44 (12:00 to 15:00 CET) and Miss Sixty (15:00 to 18:00 CET).

This third edition of CAN is made possible thanks to a range of supporters, including the Consell d'Eivissa and Turismo de Ibiza, demonstrating once again their commitment to enhancing the cultural offer of the island and their belief in the value of contemporary art, design and crafts.
