Mercury Rising: DJ Harvey returns to Pikes Ibiza in a blaze of glory

After being sorely missed last summer, DJ Harvey is finally back at Pikes Ibiza for the month of September with his hugely successful Mercury Rising residency.

Packing out the iconic venue in the hills of San Antonio on opening night, the first of four dates on Monday, September 2nd, was a hot and steamy affair as the ‘DJs’ DJ' took to the decks in boutique club Freddies for an all-night-long session.

“A party at Freddies is almost like a house party with friends. The atmosphere is intimate and the mix of considerable Ibizan hedonism and a family atmosphere is magical. There is nothing comparable to Pikes in Ibiza,” says DJ Harvey himself.

Sure enough, the who-is-who of notable island residents, fellow selectors and electronic music lovers turned out for the opening night of Mercury Rising 2024 - and there wasn't a dry wall or tiny spot left to dance as the venue was shut at full capacity.

Like all Pikes parties this summer, the fiesta had a no-phones-on-the-dancefloor policy.
