Grimes to round off line-up of speakers at IMS Ibiza 2023

Experimental artist and visionary global star Grimes has been revealed as the final keynote interview at IMS Ibiza 2023.

The fearless and adventurous solo artist, who has been a powerful advocate of AI and Web3 technologies in music and NFT art creation way ahead of the curve, has previously professed that AI is “humanity’s natural evolution”.

With her captivating digital music experimentation, which includes virtual bands in the metaverse, shines light on climate change and continuously pushes the boundaries of digital technology, she will ensure the three-day conference will close with a real highlight.

Hosted at Destino Pacha Ibiza Resort, which, for the second year, will be privatised exclusively for attending delegates, this year’s summit will see another incredible and varied programme featuring innovators, creators, visionaries and disruptors from across the global electronic music ecosystem for analysis of the most crucial business challenges and opportunities.

Grimes will be the final artist in a long line of bright minds, thought leaders and industry icons that will take to the stage and who this year include Orbital, DJ Fat Tony, Damian Lazarus, Ibiza icon DJ Pippi, Camelphat and many more.

IMS Ibiza 2023 will be co-hosted by leading BBC Radio 1 broadcasters Pete Tong MBE and Jaguar, the summit will deconstruct the topics and issues that really matter, inspiring ethical and sustainable growth, and catalysing positive change from the boardroom to the dance floor.

Topics will include a dissection of the complexities of AI, the next steps for music and Web3, diversity & inclusion, the impact of ageism in electronic music, music rights management, understanding neurodiversity, the ever-changing dynamic between agents and promoters, an analysis of music journalism, plus the unveiling of the much anticipated IMS Business Report and its widely quoted annual industry valuation figure, which has become critical to the industry’s positioning and success.

Also Icons of the electronic music industry will be recognised and celebrated with The IMS Legends Awards Dinner In honour of Mike Pickering (M People, Hacienda legend, A&R icon) hosted by YouTube at the exclusive Beach House.

With many other activations happening all around the summit to discover, look out for Earth Percent who are partnering with IMS Ibiza to host a special social area for delegates to connect, discuss and learn more about the intersectionality of music and climate. Expect live interviews and a podcast hosted by Jo Youle raising the bar on music and climate consciousness.

There is a focus on health and wellbeing with Arete’ mindful morning walks, Yoga and Vedic Meditation.

IMS Ibiza Summit delegates will also be able to experience some of the hottest parties and events on the island, including the iconic IMS Dalt Vila seven-hour closing celebration and after party with Grimes at Club Chinois.
