Ibiza Global Festival 2024 brings thousands to the beach for sizzling third edition

Temperatures were reaching boiling point on the White Island as the hotly anticipated third edition of the Ibiza Global Festival turned S’Arenal beach into a sun-drenched, sandy dancefloor once again on Friday, August 9th, and Saturday, August 10th.

However, with a juicy line-up featuring the likes of Claptone, Guy Gerber, Arodes, Calussa and Bora Uzer, electronic music lovers once again flocked to the shores of the San Antonio to dance their hearts out to the sound of some of the world’s biggest DJs and vocalists.

Pulling in 15,000 festival goers each day, it's fair to say Ibiza Global Festival 2024 was a huge success!

DAY ONE

With the huge stage reaching up into the bright blue summer sky, young DJ and producer Varoc had the honour to kickstart the powerful sound system with his electrifying tech house beats on Friday afternoon. 

He was followed by Italo-Indian DJ and producer Nikita Voguel, who made her mark on the gathering crowd with her exotic musical imprint and dynamic approach.

As the sun began to make its descent towards the Balearic Sea, Antágonite and NiØm put on a captivating back-to-back set for the atmospheric magic of ‘golden hour’.

After a spectacular sunset, vocal powerhouse Rebeka Brown returned to the Ibiza Global Festival stage for the third year running to perform an energetic and charismatic live show - once again alongside her friend and electric keytar artist Lorena Di Tena.

They were followed by another dynamic duo in the shape of Falhlberg and Martim Rola, who managed to keep the energy sky-high as the crowd continued to grow into the thousands.

After an exciting build-up, it was time for the first of Ibiza Global Festival’s headliners to take to the decks. Ibiza veteran, Guy Gerber, delivered a captivating one-hour set that left the audience desperate for more. 

And the immense beach party was far from finished! With Arodes waiting in the wings, ready to bring his distinctive melodic and emotive soundscapes to the admission-free electronic music event, the audience did not stop dancing for a single second.

The man in charge of putting the finishing touch to the first day of the Ibiza Global Festival was Danny Wade, who ended the seaside party with a glorious session that made the ground shake as he whipped the thousands-strong crowd into a frenzy.

DAY 2

Allowing dance music lovers a night to rest, the next day the Ibiza Global crew and their many international and local guests were back for more. 

First up was Raúl Vidal, who set the tone for another sizzling day-to-night party on the beach as he cut the ribbon on the second day of Ibiza Global Festival 2024 with a set full of fresh and energetic beats. 

He was followed by Ibiza Global Radio resident Wolo, who also played the festival for a third consecutive year, showcasing his signature sound that has won his radio show, ‘Music Therapy’, so many fans.

One of Italy’s greatest electronic music exports, renowned DJ and producer Franco Moiraghi, was next to take the decks, bringing his vast experience and musical knowledge to create a set that combined classic with contemporary sounds.

Of course, some up-and-coming talent couldn’t have been missing from the varied line-up, and the festival continued with two performances by two young rising stars in electronic music. 

Ginevra Ramos surprised everyone with a vibrant and energetic set that demonstrated a musical confidence far beyond her age. 

She was followed by 12-year-old Italian DJ Dario Di Bona - who graced the Ibiza Global airwaves for the first time four years ago, at age 8 - who left the audience speechless with his passionate and rousing set and performance.

For the 2024 edition of the Ibiza Global Festival, the whole team was excited to welcome house music royalty to the stage when iconic vocalist, songwriter and choreographer Barbara Tucker delivered an incredible performance accompanied by DJ Sarah Main. 

The dynamic duo set the night alight with their powerful show, which fused house and soul with the unmistakable voice and stage presence of Barbara Tucker. 

The Defected Records artist caused goosebumps galore with her passionate performance and tribute to the late Whitney Houston as she belted out iconic anthems such as ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’, while Sarah Main added her masterful touch with expertly delivered beats.

Tommy Vee, one of Italy’s biggest electronic music successes, was up next. A DJ, producer and co-owner of Airplane! Records, he is also known under the nickname “Plaster Hands”.

His career as a producer began after a meeting with DJ Spiller in 1998, with their first international hit, the Laguna EP, released on renowned UK label Azuli. 

He has been involved in the creation of many standout tracks - such as “Activate”, “Check Out The Groove” and “You Make Me Wanna”.

Needless to say, he delivered an infectious set that took the crowd further into the night!

The festival continued with a performance by Pacha resident and chief selector of the legendary Flower Power party, Bora Uzer. 

With his unmistakable style that mixes elements of house and techno with psychedelic and funky sounds, the artist took the crowd on a musical journey that evoked the free and vibrant essence of Ibiza.

After such an emotional and thrilling progression, the day culminated with the long-awaited performance of Claptone, the enigmatic German DJ and producer known for his eye-catching Venetian mask. 

As the creative force behind the globally successful event series The Masquerade, he knew exactly how to deliver a grand finale that will have the island talking for weeks to come. 

Marked by a masterful mix of deep house, tech house and hypnotic rhythms, Claptone pushed the audience to climactic finish, demonstrating why he is one of the most popular artists on the global electronic scene.

As another hugely successful edition of the Ibiza Global Festival drew to a close, it was once again easy to see why the admission-free event has become one of the highlights on Ibiza event calendar - and the international festival circuit!
